Material 316LVM, a low carbon austenitic stainless steel, contains elements chromium,

higher nickel, and molybdenum.

The “VM” in 316LVM stands for “vacuum melting,” which is a special process that improves 

homogeneity and micro cleanliness.

The compositional requirement shall meet the following: %Cr + 3.3 x %Mo ≥ 26.0
